The system is skid mounted. This system cuts up to 3 drums per minute (55 US gallon plastic drums) into 6 pieces that can then be placed into a granulator to produce “regrind” plastic. The components and system is described as follow:
There are two (2) band saws (one saw at each end of the drum to cut off the top and bottom of the drum) and four (4) router saws to cut the drum tube into four (4) pieces. The Drum Saw System is powered with six (6) electrically operated motors. System is skid mounted.
The system is operated by a programmed PLC manufactured by Omron. The complete sawing process is completely automated.
